Will Iran Interfere with the Mid-Terms?
I haven't used this blog for a while, but it seems like a good spot to post predictions, so that, in the event I turn out to be right, I can say: "Yup. Told you so!"
I'm thinking that if Iran can hold out against Trump through the summer months, in Sept when the US mid-term election campaigns get underway they can bypass the Trump administration and go straight to the American people, saying...
"If the Republicans lose control of the Senate & Congress, we will open the Strait of Hormuz to free passage for all"
"And on nuclear: we won't enrich above 3.67% (far below weapons grade), we'll hand over 98% of our remaining stockpile of enriched uranium, and we'll submit to full-access weekly inspections by the IAEA (IE. the Obama Agreement)."
Despite their hatred for Iran, even MAGA might be tempted by autumn.

And, while I'm at it, I'll throw in another prediction for free.
I think China will probably launch an invasion of Taiwan on 24 Feb 2027. It's the traditional date for a spring offensive in the northern hemisphere, and they know the USA will not be in the mood for another conflict.
